Seifu Metro Koga Line Officially Opens!
Today, the most important rail transit line in the southern region—the first phase of the Seifu Metro Koga Line (Nankou Central → Moramanerke Town)—officially opened!
This route evolved from the southward extension of the Jacobin Central Line (Nankou Central → Takamatsu Coast), and under the careful planning of Masaki M. it now provides the southwest snowfield region with a direct line into the city (this line connects directly to the Jacobin Central Line and can even reach Hokkaido).
The biggest highlight of this line is the newly introduced platform screen door interlock system, which automatically opens the station platform doors when the train arrives, improving operating efficiency. The same design has already been applied to the Exurban Line platform at Moramanerke Town Station and the Jacobin Central Line platform at KR Headquarters Station.
Now let’s introduce each station on this line.
Nankou Central
Uses the Jacobin Central Line platform, with Koga Line signage added.

Jade City
This newly added station is located in a coniferous forest area, and the construction plans here had been postponed for a long time.

Takamatsu Coast
This station serves as a transfer point with the Nitta B Line, and the south side is the South Sea.

Moramanerke Town
This is the transfer station for the Exurban Line. The transfer requires passing through a multi-level transfer hall, but the route has been carefully designed, and the Exurban Line platform has also been extensively renovated with a brand-new entrance and exit.
This station construction also reserved a platform for the planned Nitta B Line, enabling same-platform transfers between the Koga Line and the Nitta B Line.
