Sheffy Local Line Extension!

On October 5, 2024, Makoto Electric Railway’s western extension of the Sheffy Local Line—first phase of the westward extension (Bastogne–Honma Himawari)—and the temporary North-South Line takeover section (Majo no Izumi–Qixinggang) officially opened for service! Follow along as we take a look at the new areas with the fast-running reporter.

Westward Extension First Phase (Bastogne–Honma Himawari)

As part of the Western Railway Plan, the westward extension connects communities across the west and provides a brand-new urban access route, injecting new vitality into the growth of the surrounding areas. Now let’s look at the stations along the line.

Bastogne Station

With this extension and the CLE-A Line project, Bastogne Station has undergone a full renovation, featuring a new, spacious station hall and platforms. The Sheffy Local Line and CLE-A Line can now connect at the same platform for express/local transfers.

Weiervie Station

This station is located on the east bank of Bai Pu River. Looking west, you can see wheat fields.

Shalongzi Station

This station is on the west bank of Bai Pu River and is an important node on the Sheffy Local Line—it is also the junction for the Liujia Circular Line. A future route to Shenye and the east of Liujia is planned.

Pujiang End Station

It uses the reserved platform under the existing CLE-D Line station (formerly the Jacobin Deep Line). To the north, the line branches into the Liujia Circular Line (toward the Egaque direction) and the Honma Himawari direction.

Honma Himawari Station

This station also uses the reserved platform beneath the existing line. It is a later-added station in the Sheffy Local Line construction plan, mainly serving as a turnaround point and expanding coverage.

Temporary North-South Line Takeover Section (Majo no Izumi–Qixinggang)

This section is part of the Phase 4 eRAIL North-South Line project. It is currently being temporarily served by the Sheffy Local Line, and it will be returned once the eRAIL Phase 4 project is fully completed.

Majo no Izumi Station

Like Bastogne Station, this station also received a major renovation through this extension.

Lake Garden East Station

The Sheffy Local Line transfers at this station with the eRAIL Holly Line on the same platform. Since the Holly Line is a free service, this station is not equipped with gates. Please note the following when boarding or transferring here:

• Before boarding the Sheffy Local Line, tap your card at the orange gate
• After exiting the Sheffy Local Line, tap your card at the green gate
• No card is required when boarding or exiting the Holly Line

Qixinggang Station

This station is located on the edge of a swamp.
